Kamil started his acting career at the age of 6, and has since loved performing. He was home-schooled for 5 years by Jinoki Ahmed, whose classes contained aspects of Black Culture. The kids learned about the Selma to Montgomery march, recited Kwanza 's principles and studied the Montgomery Bus Boycott.Kamil competed for Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA), a professional theater company, at the age of 8. YEA became Kamil's stepping stone in the entertainment world giving him the trust in becoming professional in acting, singing , and dancing. YEA also gave Kamil the chance to leave the country and do a 6-day tour of China.
