Karyn Parsons (born 8 October 1966) is a comedian and American actress. She is most remembered for her appearance as Hilary Banks from 1990 to 1996 on NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Parsons also played the lead role alongside Damon Wayans in the 1995 film Major Payne.Parsons was originally born in Los Angeles , California. She characterized her family background as biracial in a 2008 interview for Essence. Her mother, Louise Parsons, is from Charleston , South Carolina, African American, and her father, Kenneth B. Parsons, is from Welsh descent, and from Butte, Montana. She finished High School in Santa Monica.
