Kate Beckinsale was born in Hounslow, Middlesex, England on 26 July 1973 and has lived for much of her life in London. Her mother is Judy Loe, who has starred in a variety of Uk dramas and sitcoms and is now working as an actor, primarily in British TV productions. Her dad was Richard Beckinsale, a native of Nottingham, England. During the 1970s he appeared in a variety of successful British TV comedies, most notably the shows Rising Damp (1974), Porridge (1974), and The Lovers (1970). Tragically he passed away at the age of 31 in 1979.
