Katherine Maria Jenkins OBE (brought into the world 29 June 1980) is a Welsh mezzo-soprano old style hybrid singer who performs operatic arias, famous tunes, melodic theater and songs. In the wake of winning singing rivalries in her childhood, Jenkins learned at the Royal Academy of Music, displayed and instructed voice. She came to wide open consideration in 2003 when she sang at Westminster Cathedral out of appreciation for Pope John Paul II's silver celebration. Since 2004, she has discharged various collections that have performed well on British and remote graphs. In both 2005 and 2006, her collections got Classic Brit Awards as Album of the Year.
