Kathryn Aselton (born 1 October 1978) is an American actress, author and film director. She directed and co-starred in The Freebie, which was shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010 in the non-competition category "Next." She has appeared in the FX series The League during her seven-season stint from 2009 to 2015, and in FX's Marvel Comics X-Men drama Legion's first two seasons. Aselton starred in 2004 in a short film called Scrapple against Mark Duplass and his brother Jay Duplass, who both wrote and directed the short film. Aselton made her feature-length movie debut in The Puffy Chair in front of Mark Duplass, who was directing the production alongside his brother Jay.
