Keira Christina Knightley was born 26 March 1985 in the Richmond suburb of South West Greater London. She is actor Will Knightley's father and Sharman Macdonald, the actress turned playwright. In 1979 an older brother was born, Caleb Knightley. Her father is English, and her Scottish mother is of Scottish and Welsh descent.Brought up interested on both sides in the acting field-writing and working-it is no surprise that at the age of three, the young Keira pleaded for her own agent. At the age of six she was given one and acted as "Little Girl" in her first TV appearance in Screen One: Royal Celebration (1993), aged seven.
