Kim is a British-Canadian actress, Victoria Cattrall. Her appearance in HBO's Sex and the City, for which Samantha Jones has received five Emmy Awards awards and four nominations for the Golden Globe Awards 2002, is better known. She has received five Emmy Awards nominations.Kim Victoria Cattrall was born to Gladys Shane (Baugh), clerk and Dennis Cattraall, a building worker, in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, England, on 21 August 1956. Her family emigrated to Canada at the age of three months, where many of her films were made. When she was 11 years old she went back to her hometown and studied music at the London Academy. When she was 16 she returned to Vancouver and finished high school and won a bursary for her education at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She received a part in the action thriller of Otto Preminger, Rosebud (1975), during her last year at the Academy.
