Kristopher Neil Allen (born 21 June 1985) is a Conway, Arkansas, American musician, singer and songwriter, and winner of American Idol's eighth season. He'd released a 2007 album, Brand New Sneakers, before Idol. Allen's Idol coronation single, "No Limits" and his "Heartless" version all charted inside the Billboard Hot 100 Top 20. Allen's self-titled, post-Idol album was released by Jive Records on November 17, 2009. The album debuted on the US at number 11. Cover 200. The lead single of the record, "Live Like We're Dead," was released on September 21, 2009, and debuted in the U.S. at number eighteen with over 1.7 million combined sales.
