Kristin Lee Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado on 23 February 1965. An only child, divorced her parents when she was a girl. After he married her mother, Dorothy, a university data analyst, in 1968, she was adopted by her stepfather, psychology professor Keith Davis,.She got her big break in 1995, when she landed Brooke Armstrong Campbell's part on Melrose Place (1992). After one year she quit the series after producers found out that members of the audience disliked her bitchy character. In 1998 Kristin was cast in Sex and the City as Charlotte York (1998), in which she remained an integral cast member until the show ended in 2004.
