Little Mix is a British girl group which was formed during the eighth series of The X Factor's British version in 2011. They were the first group to win the contest, and after their success, they signed with Syco Music record label from Simon Cowell and released a cover of "Cannonball" by Damien Rice as their winning song. The leaders are Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards. Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top five with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position for a British girl group's first release, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls.
