David Andrew Burd (born 15 March 1988) is an American rapper, comedian and environmentalist, best known by his stage name Lil Dicky or LD. He rose to fame with both the release of his single "Ex-Boyfriend" music video (on April 25, 2013), which went viral within 24 hours with more than one million views on YouTube. On 31 July 2015 he released his debut album Talented Rapper. His 2019 music video "Planet," which starred several singers and actors including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Kevin Hart, Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, Katy Perry and Leonardo DiCaprio, also gained popularity. The song was developed to increase environmental consciousness, deforestation and climate change. Burd said a part of the proceeds from the song were donated to environmental charities
