How tall was Lillian Gish?

Lillian Diana Gish was born in Springfield, Ohio, on 14 October 1893. Her father, James Lee Gish, was an alcoholic who caroused around, never found himself at home and left the family to fend for themselves. Lillian, her sister Dorothy Gish and their mum, Mary Gish a.k.a. Mary Robinson McConnell, tried their hand to perform in local plays in order to help make ends meet. Lillian was aged just six when she first performed before an audience. To tremendous performance she and Dorothy performed in front of the stage crowds for the next 13 years. In fact, if she hadn't found her way into film, Lillian would have been one of the best actors on stage of all time.
