How tall was Mahatma Gandhi?

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (October 2, 1869 – January 30, 1948) was an Indian activist, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist who used non-violent opposition to lead the popular fight for India's independence from the British Rule, and in turn influenced civil rights and liberation movements around the world. The Mahātmā honorific, first attributed to him in South Africa in 1914, is now used throughout the world. Founded and raised in a Hindu family in coastal Gujarat, west India, Gandhi was educated in law at the Inner Temple, London, and was called to the bar in June 1891 at the age of 22. He traveled to South Africa in 1893 to represent an Indian trader in a case after two turbulent years in India, where he did not establish a fruitful legal practice. He remained on for 21 years.
