Marcus Earl Stroman (born 1 May 1991) is a professional American baseball pitcher for the Major League Baseball (MLB) New York Mets. He has played for the Toronto Blue Jays since. Stroman is listed at 5 feet 7 inches (1.70 m),[1] making him one of only six pitchers shorter than 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) in the 21st century to debut at MLB level.Stroman attended the University of the Duke and played the Duke Blue Devils college baseball. In 2014 he made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays. In 2017, he was the World Baseball Classic MVP. After the regular season, he was awarded a 2017 Rawlings Gold Glove Award. The Blue Jays traded Stroman to the Mets in 2019.
