In 2005, Thayer starred in Hitch with Will Smith and Eva Mendes.Thayer plays a woman on holiday with a new husband in Forgetting Sarah Marshall played by Jack McBrayer. Thayer and McBrayer have reunited on an episode of 30 Rock in which she portrays the blind, shallow love interest of Kenneth Parcell.
