Martina Hingis (born September 30, 1980) is a female professional Tennis player from Switzerland. She spent 209 weeks in total as singles world No. 1 and 90 weeks as doubles world No. 1, holding all No. 1 rankings for 29 weeks concurrently. She captured five Grand Slam singles titles, thirteen Grand Slam female doubles tournaments, winning one calendar-year Grand Slam doubles in 1998, and seven Grand Slam mixed doubles tournaments; for a total of twenty-five major titles overall. Further, she won the season-end WTA Finals twice in singles and twice in doubles, an Olympic silver medal, and a record seventeen Tier I titles. Throughout the 1990s, Hingis set a string of "youngest-ever" records as the youngest Grand Slam winner and the youngest-ever No. 1 world champion.
