A slight split in the James Bond movie sequence happened for her. Director Terence Young cast her twice: in From Russia with Love (1963) she first played a gypsy girl Zora, and then in Thunderball (1965) as the doomed spy Paula. While performing for years in well-tanned minority groups, while catfighting with Raquel Welch in One Million Years B.C., Martine eventually got heard.
