How tall was Marty Feldman?
This famous comic was born in London, England, on July 8, 1934, to Martin Alan Feldman, who poked fun at himself and others. His parents were (from Kiev) of Ukrainian Jewish descent. He was the son of Cecilia (née Crook) and a gown-maker, Myer Feldman.Marty spent his youth in the poor London East End and left school at the age of fifteen, preparing for a future as a jazz trumpeter (his performance in a variety show won him the nickname of "the world's worst trumpeter"). In the late 1950s, when he married Lauretta Sullivan in January 1959 (they would remain together until his death in 1982), he had just started his comedy career as a writer for BBC radio programs and television shows. There is a saying: "Your identity is your fortune;" Marty got a double-whammy.
