Matt Monro (born Terence Edward Parsons, 1 December 1930-7 February 1985) was an English singer who during the 1960s and 1970s became one of the most famous entertainers on the international music scene. Featured as The Man with the Golden Voice throughout his 30-year career, he has packed cabarets, nightclubs, concert halls and stadiums all over the world.His albums include the UK Top 10 hits: "Portrait of My Wife," "My Kind of Girl," "Softly As I Leave You" and "Walk Away" and "Yesterday" (originally from The Beatles). He also recorded some movie themes including "From Russia with Love" for the same-name James Bond movie, "Born Alive" for the same-name movie, and "On Days Including These" for The Italian Job.
