Max Christie is an American college basketball player who currently plays for the Michigan State Spartans in the NCAA. He was born on February 1, 2002 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Christie is a shooting guard known for his scoring ability and perimeter shooting. He was highly recruited out of high school, where he played for Rolling Meadows High School, and was ranked as one of the top shooting guards in the country. Christie committed to playing for Michigan State in November 2020, and made his debut for the team in the 2021-2022 season. He had an impressive freshman year, averaging 12.4 points per game and shooting 39% from three-point range. He was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team and helped lead the Spartans to the NCAA Tournament. Christie is expected to continue to be a key player for the Spartans in the coming years, and could potentially be a top draft pick in the future.
