Melanie Jayne Chisholm (born January 12, 1974) is an English singer, songwriter, producer, actress and tv host, known professionally as Melanie C or Mel C. She is one of the Spice Girls' five representatives, where she has been dubbed Sporty Spice. Since 1996, Chisholm has sold more than 105 million songs, including 85 million copies with the party, and 20 million solo albums, singles and collaborations, and has received more than 325 certifications worldwide (including several diamonds), including 40 silver, gold and platinum certifications as a recording artist.
