Mesut Özil (German pronunciation:[ meme ouzzil], Turkish:[ me sut œzzil]; born 15 October 1988) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Premier League club Arsenal but can also be deployed as a winger. He is renowned for his technical skills and creativity; as an attacking midfielder, because of his agility, finesse and versatility.Özil began his senior career in the Bundesliga as a member of his home town club Schalke 04, departing two seasons later for € 5 million to join Werder Bremen.
