She is also known in the movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), for her appearance as Jannah. Naomi Ackie, the daughter of second generation parents from Grenada, was born and raised in Walthamstow, England. Her father was an employee at Transport for London and her mother worked for the National Health Service. She is one of three children and has an older brother and sister.
