Nathan Phillips (born 22 February 1954), also known as Sky Man, is an Omaha Native American political activist known for his role in the January 2019 conflict with the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.Philips was born in Lincoln, Nebraska,[4 ] where he spent his first five years in a traditional tribal home in the Omaha Nation.[5][4 ] From about the age of five when he was separated from his mother, he grew up in a white foster family.[6 ] He went to Lincoln Southeast High School.[7 ] Later, he moved to Washington, D.C.
