British film, movie and stage star Peter Guinness was born in Whitstable, a small English seaside town popular for its oysters, on 3 May 1950. He discovered a talent for drawing and painting at school, a talent which then led him to learn art and graduate as an art teacher.Yet while employed in a comprehensive South London, he became involved in theatre and in 1973 he auditioned for the Speech and Drama Central School where he met his future partner, Roberta Taylor.Guinness has been a prolific figure on stage and on television ever since graduating from Central in 1976.
