Ray Charles was an American songwriter, singer and composer born in September 23 , 1930 in Georgia, United States. He started losing his vision at the age of 5 and all his life was blind. In 1950s Ray, referred to as "The Genius" , was the pioner of soul music by combining Blues, Rythm and Blues and Gospel.His most known songs are "Hit the road, Jack"(1961), "Georgia on my Mind" and Seven Spanish Angels" in 1982. He died on June 10, 2004 in California.
