Reba Nell McEntire (born 28 March 1955) is a country singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer from the USA. As a high school student performing in the Kiowa High School band, on local radio shows with her parents, and at rodeos, she began her career in the music field.While she was a college sophomore at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, she sang the National Anthem at Oklahoma City's Annual Rodeo and caught the attention of country artist Red Steagall who took her to Nashville, Tennessee.
