Regis Francis Xavier Philbin (b. August 25, 1931) is an American media personality, actor and singer, known since the 1960s for hosting talk shows and game shows.[4] Since graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he served in the Navy and started to work as a Tonight Show page in the 1950s. In 1967 Philbin received his first television network exposure as the sidekick of Joey Bishop on The Joey Bishop Show.
