How tall is Richard Chamberlain?
Richard Chamberlain was THE leading early 1960s TV heartthrob. Like the impeccably gorgeous Dr. Kildare, the slender butter-haired hunk with the near-perfect Ivy-League charm and cool, clever attitude had the distaff fans fawning over him unwaveringly during the series run. Although this would seem like a dream scenario for any rising talent, it gave Chamberlain a huge, unsettling identity crisis. Shortly after his discharge, Chamberlain left for Hollywood and built up a respectable resume with many clear guest spots on such famous shows as Gunsmoke (1955) and Mr. Lucky (1959) in just a few years. But it was the stardom of Dr. Kildare's medical show (1961) that won girl respect immediately and he was a major pin-up darling dressing up in sweaters. It has also ignited the actor's short, humble singing career.
