Richard Dormer (born 11 November 1969) is an actor, playwright, and screenwriter from northern Ireland. He is best known for his role in Sky Atlantic's Fortitude as Beric Dondarrion in the HBO TV series Game of Thrones, and Dan Anderssen. Following his 2003 success as Northern Irish snooker star Alex Higgins in Hurricane, which he wrote and acted in, Dormer received acclaim. In 2003, Dormer won the Stage award for best actress.
