Richard Noel Marx (born 16 September 1963) is a young American adult and pop / rock artist, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer who has sold more than 30 million records worldwide.Marx was raised in Chicago, Illinois, Ruth's only child (née Guildoo), a former artist, and in the early 1960s Dick Marx, a jazz musician and founder of a famous jingle service. He attended the North Shore Country Day School. Via his father's previous marriage, he has three half-siblings.
