Richard McCabe (born 1960 William McCabe) is a Scottish actor specializing in classical theatre. He is Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) Associate Member. William (Bill) McCabe was born to father Scottish and mother French in Glasgow , Scotland. He grew up in Sussex, where he still lives with his wife, the stage / film artist Fotini Dimou, following his father's early death and the remarriage of his mom. He studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and adopted Richard as his professional name for Equity as a tribute to an inspiring secondary school English teacher.
