RJ Cyler, a Jacksonville, Florida native, was born the youngest of three girls, Ronald Cyler II. In any way or in any shape RJ has always been an entertainer. He started out a dance team with his older brother at the age of 12. RJ heard a commercial for open auditions in the Jacksonville area in January 2012. RJ was invited for another acting camp in Los Angeles, and at the time RJ's agent had told his parents to consider relocating to California to pursue a potential career.
