How tall was Robert Donat?

Robert Donat's friendly voice and relatively soft English accent were deliberately fine-tuned as a child as he had a stammer and took eloquence lessons to resolve the impediment from age 11. It was not that shocking that liberating oneself from such a verbal humiliation was promoting acting. The other illness, an acute asthma, did not deter him. At the age of 16 he started playing Shakespeare and other classical roles in a variety of UK-wide repertory and touring companies. He joined the repertory company of Sir Frank Benson in 1924, and later was with the Liverpool Repertory Theatre.
