How tall was Ronnie Barker?
Ronnie Barker was born on September 25, 1929 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, UK. In giving him a part in I'm Not Worried (1956), Glenn Melvyn offered Ronnie his break into television. Ronnie was well-established on radio during the 1960s, supplying several voices for "The Navy Lark" and collaborating with great comedian Jon Pertwee. He also became a regular face on tv, starring in The Frost Report (1966) (maybe most memorably in a parody on the social dynamic in Britain, alongside John Cleese and Ronnie Corbett) and playing lead roles on The Saint (1962) and The Avengers (1961). Ronnie joined up again with Ronnie Corbett in 1971, this time for a series of BBC sketches, entitled The Two Ronnies (1971). The show proved to be immensely successful, and lasted until the late 1980s.
