Roxanne Hart was born 27 July 1952 to Joan Irene (McKee) and Edward J. Hart, Jr., in Trenton, New Jersey. Her father was a teacher who later was school principal in Chappaqua, New York, at Horace Greeley High School. In 1969, Roxanne graduated from Greeley.She appeared in a variety of Broadway productions before making her film debut in The Verdict (1982). She was playing the Sally Doneghy role. She has also starred in a variety of films, including Once Around (1991) with Holly Hunter, Showtime's film Alone (1997) that promotes an all-star cast ensemble, including Hume Cronyn, James Earl Jones, Chris Cooper and Shelley Duvall.
