Samia Maxine Longchambon (b. Ghadie, formerly Smith; b. July 13, 1982) is an actress from Britain. Since 2000 she is best known for portraying Maria Connor's part in ITV's Coronation Street soap opera. At the age of eight and 12, Samia first worked as an extra on Coronation Street and then she was a regular on the soap. Appearing in an episode of Cracker ("The Great Crunch"), she made her first credited TV appearance when she was 11. She also starred in Children's Hospital, Heartbeat, Doctors, Just One Jimmy Grimble (feature film) and the Life Force children's show.
