Sara Beth Bareilles (born 7 December 1979) is an actress and American singer-songwriter. Her 2007 hit song "Love Song," on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, reached No. 4. Bareilles acted as a guest judge alongside Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman in the third season of the NBC's The Sing-Off. She arranged music and wrote lyrics for the 2016 Tony Award for Best Original Score and a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theatre Album for the Broadway musical Waitress. Bareilles won praise in April 2018 for her depiction of Mary Magdalene in NBC's live televised concert adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Jesus Christ Superstar rock opera by Tim Rice, for which she was nominated for the 2018 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Film.
