Sharon Small (born 1 January 1967) is an acclaimed Scottish actress in film, radio, theatre, and television for her dramatic work. Maybe best known for her portrayal of Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers in Elizabeth George's BBC television adaptation of The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, she is also remembered for her leading roles in Law & Order: UK (as Inspector Elisabeth Flynn) and Trust Me (as Dr Brigitte Rayne). She attended primary school in Kinghorn, where she was the Queen of the Kinghorn Gala in her final year. She then attended High School Balwearie in Kirkcaldy. Small studied drama at Kirkcaldy College and at the Mountview Academy
