How tall is Shirley Jones?
Called Shirley Temple after child actress, Shirley Jones started singing at the age of six. At the age of 12, she began intensive schooling and would dream of singing along with her mentor, Gordon MacRae. Upon graduation from high school, Shirley went to audition for Rodgers & Hammerstein's casting director in New York.She will be in Hollywood within a year to star in her first film, Oklahoma! (1955) like Laurey, a farm girl in love with Gordon MacRae a cowboy. Okay! Okay! (1955) shot in wide-screen CinemaScope and Todd-AO and will take a year to record. Following that, Shirley returned to Broadway for "Oklahoma!" stage production, before returning to Carousel in Hollywood (1956). Yet musicals were a fading genre by this time and she will have some lean years
