Shobna Gulati is an actress, scribe, and dancer from Britain. Gulati is a soap star best known for playing Anita at Victoria Wood's Dinnerladies and Sunita Alahan at Coronation Street's long-running soap opera from 2001 to 2006, a role she returned to at the end of 2009 and quit again in 2013. Gulati appeared as a panelist at the Loose Women lunchtime talk Show from 13 March 2013 to 30 May 2014. One of Gulati's early performances was as a dancer in the video for Boy George's 1991 single "Bow Down Mister." She received outstanding reviews as a main character in the late 1990s for her role in Victoria Wood's BBC sitcom Dinnerladies, this ended two years later in 2000 and she starred in both films.
