After seeing her father, veteran actor Virgil Frye, and nephew, Meeno Peluce, on TV, Soleil Moon Frye started acting at the age of two. Her father got her an agent in Hollywood, Herb Tannen & Associates, and soon started her career. Her mother was the president, Sondra Peluce. She was known internationally at the age of eight as the title character on the NBC TV show Punky Brewster (1984). He has acted in several films since the series began, directed a film and wrote a script for a film about the encounters a group of teens share in a café.
