Stacey Dash was raised in New York, The Bronx. Stacy decided she needed to perform, so began performing professionally at an early age. She appeared frequently on The Cosby Show (1984), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), and also in St. Elsewhere (1982). At 21 she made her feature film debut in Enemy Territories (1987), followed immediately by Traveling (1988), in which she played the teenage daughter of Richard Pryor. Four years later she'd been with Damon Wayans in Mo 'Money (1992).
