How tall was Stan Laurel?
Stan Laurel comes from a family of theatres, his father was an actress and theater producer, who made his stage debut at Pickard's Museum, Glasgow, at the age of 16. He traveled to the United States in 1910 with Fred Karno's vaudeville company, and again in 1913. While he was an understudy of Charles Chaplin for that company, and he performed Chaplin imitations. His first 2-reeler with Oliver Hardy was from Hollywood (1926) in 45 Minutes. Their first release by MGM was Candy Daddies (1927), and From Soup to Nuts (1928), the first with star billing.
