Popular for Philomena (2013), Alan Partridge (2013), and 24 Hour Party People (2002), he is an actress and filmmaker. He'd been married to Caroline Hickman previously. Coogan is an English actor whose dynamic portrayals of character, voice range and talent for mimicry have gained him comparisons with the late Peter Sellers. In reality he was supposed to play Sellers in Peter Sellers' The Life and Death (2004). He's been writing with BBC radio. He studied at Manchester Polytechnic Theatre School as an actress.
