Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born 16 July 1952) is an American composer and guitarist. He was the drummer of the Police's British rock band, created soundtracks for movies and computer games, and composed numerous works for ballet, opera and orchestra music. According to MusicRadar, Copeland's "distinctive drum sound and elegance of style have made him one of the most famous drummers ever to get behind a drumset."He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police in 2003, the New Drummer Hall of Fame in 2005, and the Traditional Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013.
