Susan Melody George (born 26 July 1950) is an English actress in film and television.She is best known for such films as Straw Dogs (1971) with Dustin Hoffman, Dirty Mary, Mad Larry (1974), Peter Fonda and Ken Norton with Mandingo (1975).In the early 1970s, George began to be synonymous with quite offensive, often divisive appearances (as in Straw Dogs), and was rather typecast. The very close description of her career by film writer Leslie Halliwell was: "British leading lady, former child actress; typed generally as sexpot." Her lighter side was evident in some of her TV appearances, for instance in an episode ("The Gold Napoleon") with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis in The Persuaders (1971). In 1988, Stealing Heaven marked her film-producing debut.
