Susie Amy was born in 1981, and raised in Surrey, London. While she still studied acting, she spent her entire life going to formal schools. An agent noticed her in 1999 when she performed Sharman McDonald's 'After Juliet' at the National Theater in London. She had roles in "Sirens" (2002) (mini) , the comedy "Sam's Game," "The Switch" and "My Kids" over the next two years. She had her first big break in 2001, at the age of 20, when she was selected to play 'Chardonnay Lane' in ITV sitcom Footballers' Wives (2002), which became one of the most talked about TV series.
