She is a Kansas native who moved to Los Angeles to try the acting with her first film since being thrown off the path. Some of her first acting work was on Smallville, a long-time WB success. Which subsequently contributed to numerous appearances on television including guest roles on Gossip Girl and Dirty Sexy Money. Amara has also worked alongside Bruce Willis and Halle Berry in many films such as Perfect Stranger and has acted in the film Rez Bomb and won her the best actress award at the Red Nation Film Awards.
