Filippina Lydia "Tina" Arena AM (born 1 November 1967) is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, playwright and record producer. She is one of the best selling singers in Australia, and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Arena is an artist with a soprano's vocal range and is multilingual: she chants and records live in English, Italian, French and Spanish. Arena has received numerous international and national awards, including seven ARIA Awards, as well as two World Music Awards for 'Best-selling Australian Singer,' which she received in 1996 and 2000. In 2001 the American performing rights association awarded Arena the BMI Foundation Songwriting Award (Broadcast Music Inc.) for co-writing "Fire" with Pam Reswick and Steve Werfel.
